Individual Giving

Generous support from individuals like you is critical to Intuit Art Museum. Your contribution ensures Intuit’s cultural and educational resources are available to Chicago communities—and beyond—today and into the future.

Several of the ways you can demonstrate your support to Intuit includes donating to the Annual Fund, joining the membership program at a Giving Circle level, contributing to special exhibitions and initiatives, and becoming a member of the Legacy Society by including Intuit in your estate plan.

Intuit accepts gifts of cash, securities, art and grants through family foundations and donor-advised funds.

Annual Fund

Donations to the Annual Fund support areas of greatest need at Intuit. Your 100% tax-deductible gift will help fund exhibitions and programs that educate, inspire and transform youth, teachers and people of all backgrounds; collection conservation; and research and publications to support art and artists.

Annual support at the $1,000 level or higher qualifies you for new or renewed Museum membership [link to membership page] with NARM/ROAM reciprocal museum benefits.

Legacy Society

Build your legacy at Intuit Art Museum and champion art for years to come.

Intuit’s most loyal supporters, Legacy Society members understand the power of art to transform and unite people across generations and experiences. Intuit accepts planned gifts in all shapes and sizes, including retirement assets, cash, insurance, stocks and bonds, art, and real estate

Whether you are a long-time supporter of Intuit or have recently become affiliated with the museum, your planned giving demonstrates commitment to making a difference to communities, near and far.

To learn more about the Legacy Society or ways to support Intuit through a planned gift, please contact Claire Fassnacht, development director, at 312.624.8000 or claire@art.org. Inquiries are confidential and imply no obligation. We look forward to talking with you.

There are ways of creating your Intuit legacy that

  • Require no immediate donation. The asset you donate transfers to Intuit only at death.
  • Maintain your ability to change your mind at any time. You are not locked into a decision you make today.
  • Enable you to make loved ones and Intuit your beneficiaries.

Benefits include

  • Invitations to exclusive receptions and private art collection tours.
  • Name recognition in The Outsider annual publications and online, if you so choose to be recognized.
  • Personalized assistance to help you enhance your involvement with Intuit Art Museum.
  • Knowing you, like Intuit’s founders and many others, have made a lasting contribution to ensure Intuit’s future.

Please consult your attorney and financial advisor concerning tax-related matters. Intuit holds all planned gift arrangements confidential, unless given express permission by the donor to disclose.

Matching Gifts

To promote charitable giving, many companies match their employees’ contributions to nonprofit organizations. You may be able to double or even triple your contribution by checking with your human resources department to see if your employer offers such initiatives.

Donor-Advised Funds

Intuit Art Museum accepts one time or recurring contributions through donor-advised funds (DAF). You may easily begin the process of donating through your DAF by contacting your DAF sponsor organization directly.

Mandatory IRA Disbursement

If you are age 70½ or older, you can transfer up to $100,000 from your traditional Individual Retirement Account (IRA) directly to Intuit Art Museum without having to pay income taxes on the money. Gifts of any value of $100,000 or less are eligible for this benefit. These contributions are commonly referred to as the Qualified Charitable Distribution or QCD (sometimes called an IRA Charitable Rollover”) and are a great way to support Intuit and satisfy your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD).

For more information about the IRA Qualified Charitable Distribution, contact Development Director Claire Fassnacht at claire@art.org.
