The Chicago Avenue CTA Blue Line stop is one-half block from the Museum. This station is not wheelchair accessible and does not have an elevator.
There are many bus stops within a quarter mile of the Museum. All CTA buses are wheelchair accessible. The closest stops to the main entrance of the Museum are the #56 Milwaukee Avenue bus at the Chicago Avenue Blue Line stop and the #66 Chicago Avenue Bus at the Milwaukee Avenue stop.
Curb cuts appropriate for wheelchair access are available on all corners of the nearest street intersection of Milwaukee, Ogden and Chicago Avenues.
IAM main entrance and facilities are wheelchair accessible.
Galleries are located on the lower level, first and second floors of the museum and are accessible by elevator.
Comfortable seating is located on the first floor in the Center for Learning and Engagement Opportunities (CLEO).
Single-use, all-gender restrooms, including wheelchair accessible restrooms, are available on the lower level and second floor.
A baby-changing station is located in the lower level restroom.
If you are in need of a place to breastfeed, a Guest Experience staff member will be happy to direct you.
Yes, service animals are welcome at IAM. They must be leashed and attended to for the duration of your visit. Pets are not permitted.
