Gail M. Glotzer, artist is a native of Rogers Park and Edgewater. She brings a style of painting that is indicative of the Self-Taught Outsider art movement.
Predominately, each figure is painted without a face. This allows a modesty of being and a universal perspective. These characters cry out for definition. Gail uses acrylic paint, which opaques and the colors are bright and up-lifting. Always emotional and thought-provoking, her subjects are intimate as she takes images of family scenes and domestic relevance.
