IAM 2025 Events Weaving Stories Web
Learn to make handmade cords using a lucet knitting fork, transforming single strands of yarn into stronger, tactile forms with Catalyst exhibition artist Pooja Pittie. In her practice, Pittie uses cords and braids as symbols of connection and resilience. Through this meditative and rhythmic process, participants will be invited to reflect on how we hold, release, and reshape the stories that define us. Materials will be provided, but personal fibers from home are welcome.
Weaving Stories is a collaboration between Intuit Art Museum, Jane Addams Hull-House Museum, Ukrainian Institute for Modern Art, and Balzekas Museum of Lithuanian Culture made possible through the Terra Foundation for American Art.
