About Madge Gill
In 1920’s England, artist Madge Gillbegan to receive messages from the spirit world urging her to create. Guided by this force, her art practice blossomed across sewing, writing, drawing and music. She identified this creative energy as a spirit named Myrninerest, whose signature appears on many of her works. The transcendental experience of artmaking led Madge Gill to ultimately become a well-known medium, holding seances, astrological readings and other psychic rituals in her London home.
