Through Intuit's Teacher Fellowship Program, 20 Chicago Public School educators and their students have dedicated an entire year in preparation for this exhibit. The student work showcased during this exhibition demonstrate their inspiration drawn from characteristics and techniques of self-taught and outsider artists including Joseph Yoakum, Lee Godie, Mr. Imagination, David Philpot, Emery Blagdon, among others.

Intuit defines ‘intuitive and outsider art’ as the work of artists who demonstrate little influence from the mainstream art world, and who instead are motivated by their unique personal vision. This definition includes art brut, non-traditional folk art, self-taught art, and visionary art.
