Come Out and Play in Harbor Country! Saturday, August 30, 2008 Second Stop Cool drinks, 4:00-5:30 PM EST BRIDGMAN WOODLAND RETREAT When Marjorie and Harvey Freed decided to build a summer getaway, they chose architect James Nagle to come up with a design that was “anti-McMansion contemporary with a bit of a vintage feel.” Filled with outsider artists William Dawson, Jimmie Lee Suddeth, Jake McCord, Mose Tolliver and more, you’ll enjoy Michigan woodland views and a cold drink from the large decks. You may even see a hummingbird. Third Stop Cookout, 5-PM EST GRAND BEACH BLAST Mixing outsiders like Ras Dizzy and Jimmie Lee Sudduth with Michigan insiders like Edward Avila and Bruce Wood is just part of the fun at Judith and Patrick Blackburn's Annual Labor Day Barbeque at their Grand Beach, MI home. Throw some bean bags in a game of Cornhole/Corn Toss, dance to live rock ‘n roll, relax by the fire pit chatting with friends or stroll down to the beach for a sunset to remember. Includes dinner and drinks. |
